LSH Auto International, a member of Lei Shing Hong Group, is committed to responsible business practices and passionate about giving back to the communities we are a part of.
In 2010, Lei Shing Hong Group founded the Beijing LSH Charitable Foundation. Since then, LSH Auto China has been participating in “Project Hope”, which aims to improve educational outcomes and quality of life for underprivileged children in Mainland China. The initiative is in line with LSH Auto’s philanthropic vision, which is summed up as “Good deeds with love to nurture the future generations”.
More recently, in 2019, LSH Auto donated funds to construct its 33rd LSH Hope School, located in Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province. To date, this Hope School project has benefited more than 10,000 children across the country.
In 2020, LSH Auto China cooperated with the Beijing Youth Development Foundation to support medical staff fighting against COVID-19 in Beijing. Our China team joined the “Helping Medical Heroes – Care Packages for Caregivers” initiative, which delivered much-needed food and supplies to frontline medical staff and their families in Beijing as a homage to show our appreciation for their selfless work.
Capital Motors Inc. has a strong track record of community engagement since its establishment 50 years ago. The Taiwan Region team collaborates with charities and hosts donation events regularly to help those who are in need.
In 2018, Capital Motors Inc. made a donation to Reindeer Children’s Home. The funds were used to enhance facilities at their newly set up library in Yangmei District of Taoyuan City, with an aim to encourage children at the home to develop good reading habits.
Realising that rural areas of the Taiwan Region often have limited educational resources, Capital Motors Inc. also made a donation to Jhang Hups Junior High School in 2019. The funds supported the School’s cycling field trip programme, which allowed students to improve their problem-solving skills while exploring the Region through trips.
Han Sung Motor Co. began its CSR journey in 2012 with the Dream Gream Art Scholarship Programme. In partnership with the Mecenat Association, the scholarship supports up to 40 underprivileged, highly artistic middle and high school students each year, by means of providing financial aid, artist mentoring, an engaging summer arts camp, and a year-end exhibition. Participating students were featured in some of the largest art fairs in South Korea, including the Seoul Design Festival, the Korea International Art Fair, and the Seoul Street Arts Festival. In 2020, as COVID-19 drove rapid digitalisation, the scholarship students produced a mobile game called “Hansung Dream Race” through an online class using iPads. The app allows users to customise Mercedes-Benz cars such as the G63 AMG, GT, and EQS against backdrops of Seoul, Busan, and Jeju. The app can be downloaded for free on major app stores.
In 2020, the Korean team launched the “Flower by Han Sung” campaign to support the local floral industry during COVID-19. Han Sung Motor Co. purchased flowers from local shops and presented them to customers visiting its showrooms. The team made additional donations to local businesses which were being affected by the pandemic.
In 2019, LSH Auto UK provided support to community services by partnering with a number of national and local charities. This included Comic Relief, Francis House, Laureus charity funds, Shelter charity campaigns, T21 Network, and Mind.
One such campaign was the ‘Stockport Giant Leap Frog Auction’. The team collaborated with local businesses and community organisations to raise money for the children’s unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. The campaign culminated in a charity auction at Mercedes-Benz of Stockport which raised more than £30,000.
In Australia, over 2020, LSH Auto has continued its partnership with the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation, which raises money for a range of children’s charities, by providing support for long distance fundraising bicycle rides. The Australia team provided lead, support, and logistics vehicles for the event.
LSH Auto Australia also assisted communities which were impacted by the early 2020 bushfires. The team closely supported the BizRebuild program initiated by the Business Council of Australia, providing sturdy utility vehicles to deliver the equipment and supplies needed for recovery work in impacted communities.
In 2020, LSH Auto’s Germany team at Stern Auto supported the “Cook for Heroes” campaign in Leipzig. More than 6,000 free meals were delivered to heroes who helped keep community members safe and healthy. This included medical staff, ambulance and rescue service drivers, police, firefighters, as well as supermarket staff.
