Corporate Responsibility

LSH Auto, a member of Lei Shing Hong Group, is committed to responsible business practices and passionate about giving back to the communities in which we operate.

Chinese Mainland

LSH Auto China has been providing support and aid to many communities within the country. A major contribution is the Hope School initiative. The first LSH Hope School was built in 2007 and to date, we have donated and helped to build 33 Hope Schools across Chinese Mainland benefitting more than 10,000 school-going children. From rescue and rebuilding projects as a result of earthquakes in remote provinces, to providing better healthcare and hygiene for schools in rural areas, LSH Auto China continues to play a dynamic role as a member of the community.

Taiwan Region

Capital Motors Inc. has a strong track record of community engagement since its establishment 50 years ago. The Taiwan Region team collaborates with charities and hosts donation events regularly to help those who are in need.

In 2018, Capital Motors Inc. made a donation to Reindeer Children’s Home. The funds were used to enhance facilities at their newly set up library in Yangmei District of Taoyuan City, with an aim to encourage children at the home to develop good reading habits.

Realising that rural areas of the Taiwan Region often have limited educational resources, Capital Motors Inc. also made a donation to Jhang Hups Junior High School in 2019. The funds supported the School’s cycling field trip programme, which allowed students to improve their problem-solving skills while exploring the Region through trips.

South Korea

As part of its social contribution efforts, Han Sung Motor Co. has been implementing the Dream Gream Art Scholarship program since 2012. In partnership with the Mecenat Association, the scholarship supports up to 40 talented artistic middle and high school students to provide financial support and long-term experience in various art disciplines through art fairs with renowned artists.

In 2022, the scholarship students launched an ESG campaign titled ‘Dream Green Town’, and presented NFT artworks with AR technology at Kiaf (Korea International Art Fair), Asia's largest art fair.

This year, Han Sung Motor Co. renewed the Dream Gream program with even more educational opportunities for students and mentors. The program plans to focus on participation in various art fairs such asPLAS (Plastic arts Seoul), Kiaf (Korea International Art Fair) and SDF (Seoul Design Festival) to allow students invaluable exposure to the industry first-hand, collaborate with famous artists, and expand points of contact with the public.

In addition, Han Sung Motor Co. will support mentors in their path to becoming young artists. It plans to organize mentor group exhibitions to strengthen their practical capabilities as future artists by gaining much-needed know-how and experience through seminars and collaborations with renowned artists. Additionally, visits to famous international art fairs will be offered to inspire and expand their creative dreams.

Germany

In 2020, LSH Auto’s Germany team at Stern Auto supported the “Cook for Heroes” campaign in Leipzig. More than 6,000 free meals were delivered to heroes who helped keep community members safe and healthy. This included medical staff, ambulance and rescue service drivers, police, firefighters, as well as supermarket staff.

United Kingdom

In 2019, LSH Auto UK provided support to community services by partnering with a number of national and local charities. This included Comic Relief, Francis House, Laureus charity funds, Shelter charity campaigns, T21 Network, and Mind.

One such campaign was the ‘Stockport Giant Leap Frog Auction’. The team collaborated with local businesses and community organisations to raise money for the children’s unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. The campaign culminated in a charity auction at Mercedes-Benz of Stockport which raised more than £30,000.

Australia

In Australia, LSH Auto has continued its partnership with the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation, which raises money for a range of children’s charities, by providing support for long distance fundraising bicycle rides. The Australia team provided lead, support, and logistics vehicles for the event.

In 2018, the LSH Auto Australia Choice Award program was introduced to recognise team members, nominated by their peers, for exemplary service, team attributes and work within their community. The winners then nominate a charity of their choice to receive a donation on their behalf from LSH Auto Australia.

LSH Auto Australia also assisted communities which were impacted by the early 2020 bushfires. The team closely supported the BizRebuild program initiated by the Business Council of Australia, providing sturdy utility vehicles to deliver the equipment and supplies needed for recovery work in impacted communities.

LSH Auto Australia is also recognized for its continuing support for Street Side Medics, a mobile medical clinic that offers free medical services to the less fortunate and the homeless.
