How a fresh fruit supplier became a long-standing Capital Motors, Inc (CMI) customer thanks to Chang Jui Lin, Sales Assistant of CMI Taoyuan Showroom.

Mr. Shen, the boss of a fresh fruit wholesale business, is a familiar face at CMI Taoyuan Showroom where he would personally deliver fresh fruits to.

During his deliveries there, he would often wander to the display area to admire the latest fleet of cars.

It was Sales Assistant Chang Jui Lin who first noticed his interest in the cars and would provide him with relevant information as well as useful reference material.

She would always greet him on his delivery days, making him feel at home whenever he was “browsing” the cars.

One day, he appeared at the showroom – much to the surprise of Jui Lin since it wasn’t a fruit delivery day.

Apparently, he and his wife had been visiting other car dealers and now at CMI Taoyuan Showroom, they were ready to make a purchase on a model he had set his mind on.

With the help of Jui Lin and a Sales Consultant, Mr. Shen would become the owner of a new Mercedes-Benz the very next day.

Mr. Shen then told Jui Lin, “I wanted to buy a car from you because you have always treated me warmly, made me feel welcomed and respected.”

Fast forward five years – Mr. Shen has traded his Mercedes-Benz for a new one and it was Jui Lin who was once again on hand to help with sales related matters.

The story of Jui Lin and Mr. Shen might be a simple story of how a gentle approach and building a relationship can go a long way.

For Jui Lin, it was also about building the trust that Mr. Shen had shown her. Seeing him smile broadly with gratification was the greatest affirmation of the value of her service.
