When the non-profit Street Side Medics (SSM) charity service shared that they would be expanding their service to the homeless and less fortunate in Melbourne, LSH Auto Australia was quick to show its support.

It provided another Mercedes-Benz van, its third, that will be converted into a mobile clinic. It also offered its Kings Way retail facility as the venue for the official launch of the Melbourne SSM service but it didn’t stop there.

Friends and partners of LSH Auto Australia in Melbourne were rallied to help deliver an impactful launch event to welcome Dr Daniel Nour and his team of Street Side Medics volunteers to the city.

They include Shane Delia, Maha Restaurant and Director of Delia Group / Maha Restaurant, John Scalzo of St. ALi, Hugh Allen, Executive Chef, Vue de monde, and Hatem Saleh, CEO Atlantic Group.

The presence of Australia’s Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese who welcomed Dr. Daniel Nour and his medical volunteers to the state of Victoria at the launch event was especially noteworthy.

The Prime Minister welcomed the expansion of the service to Melbourne, “The arrival of Street Side Medics in Melbourne represents a fresh chapter in a great Australian story… A world of difference is made possible by the energy, compassion and selflessness of the army of Street Side Medics volunteers.”

The support given for the event showed the power of teamwork across borders and a joint commitment to improving lives in the community.
