smart, the premium intelligent all-electric automobile brand, is now officially available to Australian motorists.

At a media launch on 28 August, Mandy Zhang, Global CMO of smart Automobile, and Kai Sieber, Director of Mercedes-Benz Design and Head of smart Design, congratulated LSH Auto Australia’s Managing Director John Good on the arrival of the brand to the country.

The event, held at LSH Auto Australia’s smart Brisbane showroom, unveiled the award-winning smart #1 premium compact urban SUV and the smart #3 SUV coupe. Both vehicles were recognised with the Red Dot and iF awards as well as the China and Euro NCAP 5-star safety ratings.

The launch in Australia underscores smart’s commitment to global development and expansion in Oceania.

In fact, the world premiere event for smart #5, the first-ever premium mid-size SUV from the brand, was held in Byron Bay, Australia on the same day.
